I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
